I say 4 tablespoons

1 Tbls. per cup is the general rule. I like mine stronger so I add an extra.
ONE heaping tablespoon will make three cups in a regular 12 cup coffee maker. If you are making the full pot then use 4 heaping tablespoons. By tablespoon I do not mean the actual measuring device that you may have, I mean the large spoon in your drawer that you usually use when having soup.
